The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed plans to organize a CAF C coaching course specifically for women.
NFF Technical Director, Coach Augustine Eguavoen, told the nff.com on Thursday that the program will be conducted in three modules.
The first module will take place from July 15th to 25th, followed by a two-week internship for the participants from July 27th to August 7th.
The participants will return to Abuja for the second module, scheduled for August 12th to 20th, followed by another two-week internship from August 23rd to September 4th.
The third module, which includes examinations for the participants, will take place from September 9th to 19th.
A total of 30 coaches are expected to attend the CAF C coaching course, with preference given to retired football players and women currently involved in coaching but lacking formal coaching licenses.
Among the Super Falcons’ legends participating are goalkeeper Precious Dede, defender Joy Jegede, forward Vera Okolo, Maureen Eke, Esther Michael, former midfielder Cecilia Nku, and former U20 girls’ captain Gloria Ofoegbu.
For the first module starting on Monday, theory and practical sessions will run daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with intermittent breaks for tea and lunch.
