The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is currently in discussions with Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo to switch his international allegiance and represent Nigeria.

The 26-year-old center-back, who recently joined Chelsea as a free agent over the summer, has not been involved with England at any level since 2016.

According to London World, top officials of the NFF have contacted Adarabioyo to persuade him to make the switch.

The Player previously declined two approaches, including one from coach Jose Peseiro in 2023 ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria reached the final but lost to Cote d’Ivoire.

However, the NFF hopes to achieve a similar outcome to the successful recruitment of players like Ademola Lookman, who switched allegiances in 2021.
