The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has dismissed reports suggesting they are in discussions with Hervé Renard for the vacant Super Eagles head coach position.

NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau clarified that no such conversations have occurred with the French coach.

Since Finidi George’s resignation in June, the Super Eagles have been without a head coach.

Renard, along with Steve McClaren and Tom Saintfiet have been speculated as potential candidates following the NFF’s announcement of its intention to hire a foreign technical adviser.

The Federation is now under increasing pressure to make a decision and announce their choice.
