NFF Criticizes Super Eagles’ Performance in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has expressed dissatisfaction with the attitude of some Super Eagles players during the June International window.
This comes in the wake of disappointing results in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, where the team drew against South Africa and suffered a loss to Benin Republic.
Preparation for the matches was marred by players arriving late to camp, raising concerns about their commitment.
In a communiqué released after the NFF Executive Committee’s meeting on Wednesday, the federation highlighted the need for a stronger commitment from the players and announced plans for a more extensive scouting program.
“The NFF Board expressed displeasure with the poor attitude of some of the players to the national assignment and unanimously decided in favor of a more robust scouting programme of outstanding Nigeria-eligible players from across the four corners of the universe, who can add tremendous value to the nation’s flagship team,” the communiqué stated.
