Following the Beach Soccer Super Four tournament in Kaduna, the chairman of the Futsal/Beach Soccer committee of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Otuekong Nse Essien is satisfied with the players’ performance.
He confirmed in a chat with Brila.net that plans are underway to invite these players to camp in preparation for the Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Essien praised the talent displayed in the tournament, stating, “The players that were selected are soon going to be in camp. They’ve been together and only just had some days off because they had a tournament that was just finished.”
The selected players, who are currently on a short break, will be called to camp this week.
Essien added, “They’re just having some days off and then they’re going to camp this week.”
He assured that the formal appointment of coaches would be finalized soon.
“The league has been on, so there were some coaches who’ve been on them. So it’s nothing for the NFF to make the formal appointment of the coaches this week.”
