Neymar’s Lawyer Heads to FIFA over Transfer Saga after La Liga Rejects Buy-out Payment

Brazilian Star, Neymar and his lawyer are heading the Switzerland and to FIFA where they will present the provisional transfer of the forward to FIFA that would allow him to debut for PSG in the French league which kicks off this weekend.

This follow up story was published by Spanish online media, Marca after La Liga rejected the €222 million buy-out for the 25-year-old.

According to José Félix Díaz of Marca, The cheque which was agreed in Neymar’s contract that he signed less than a year ago and binds him to the Catalan club until 2021, was handed over by the lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo, a specialist in sports law at the Ruiz-Huerta & Crespo practice.

Crespo, who has worked on many high-profile cases, including the recent decision by FIFA to drop Messi’s ban for arguing with the referee after an Argentina match, arrived with a notary as a witness following the threat by LaLiga chief Javier Tebas to not accept the payment of the buy-out clause.

The next stage as per José Félix Díaz, will be for Neymar’s representatives to present the provisional transfer to FIFA that would allow the Brazilian to debut for PSG in the French league which kicks off this weekend.

MARCA also reported that LaLiga cannot block Neymar’s transfer due to the agreement that was made in the contract and so FIFA are set to agree to the provisional move.

Along with this the Financial Fair Play ruling is a decision to be made by UEFA and it will be after August 31st that it will be known if PSG have complied with it or not.
