Newly appointed Go Round FC technical AdviserĀ Willie Udube has thanked the management of the club for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the team.
Udube was appointed in place of Ngozi Elechi who left the team after five years of service to join Nigeria professional football league rivals Yobe Desert Stars earlier this month.
However, the former Heartland and River United coach believes the appointment is a recognition for his hard work.
āI am very impressed that I have people like the Team Manager and other members of the crew for supporting me,ā Udube told Go Round media.
āI was unveiled some months ago as the chief coach of this team and I know quite well that performance speaks for people so the little thing we did was why I was upgraded to this position.ā
Udube’s assistant Justin Smart, formerly of Cynosure FC, also is Confident of helping the team next season.
“Originally I never expected this but then for the Team Manager to have believed in me I also believe I can do a lot here,ā.
āGo Round is a big team and I know with what is on the ground, the sky will be our beginning.ā
Udube joined the club last season as an assistant coach in the middle of last season.
