New England Revolution Unveils Midfielder Alhassan Yusuf

MLS side New England Revolution has officially unveiled Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf following his transfer from Royal Antwerp.

The 24 year-old joined Royal Antwerp in 2021, where he made 116 appearances, contributing 4 goals and 7 assists during his time with the Belgian side.

Yusuf, however, will have to wait to make his debut for the Revolution, as he has been called up for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

Since making his debut for the Super Eagles in 2023, Yusuf has earned six caps, including three appearances at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

In joining the MLS, Yusuf will be accompanied by fellow Nigerians Chidozie Awaziem and Obinna Nwobodo, who are also active in the league.

Nwobodo currently plays for FC Cincinnati, where he was recently joined by Awaziem, who transferred from Boavista this summer.

Although Alhassan Yusuf won’t be teaming up with his compatriots in Cincinnati, his move to the New England Revolution further strengthens the Super Eagles’ representation in the MLS.
