Everton striker, Neal Maupay, credited Nigerian midfielder, Alex Iwobi for assisting his first goal for the club.
Maupay got his first goal for the Toffees against West Ham United on Sunday, since joining from Brighton and Hove Albion.
The striker controlled a perfect pass from Alex Iwobi, before volleying it past Alfonso Areola in goal for the Hammers.
The strike however ended Everton’s run of six games without a win this season, And Maupay singled out Iwobi for praise.
“We’ve got very good players in the midfield and the wings,” Evertonfc.com quoted Maupay as saying.
“I trust them to make the difference. I have to be there to finish and it was a great pass from Alex ”
Iwobi was named the man of the match, after the final whistle.
