Ndidi Responds to Rohr’s Comments About Super Eagles ahead of Crunch WC Qualifier

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi remains confident despite former coach Gernot Rohr’s insight into the Nigerian team ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic.

“He coached us for five years, but within those years, players are coming, players are going,” Ndidi remarked during the pre-match presser.

“Facing him is actually a motivation because we know he’s a good coach and we know he’s going to plan for us to win and we are approaching that game like we have to show him that he actually missed something in the team.

“So I think that’s what we have to do now.”

Reflecting on their recent performance Ndidi added, “The psyche started from the game against South Africa because we know why we’re here. We want to win.

“We want to qualify for the World Cup and more of the psyche also continued after the first half because the first half was slow and then we wanted something in the second half which showed.”

The Super Eagles are determined to secure a victory and boost their chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
