Ndidi reacts to his Nigerian Player of the year award

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is excited to be named Nigeria’s player of the year by organiser of Ballers award.

It the first major award for the Leicester City midfielder who is unarguably the most consistent and reliable Super Eagles player in Europe.

 

Ndidi has also been superb for the national team over the years and played crucial role in Nigeria’s third place finish at the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

 

After winning the award, Ndidi however took to his social media handle to thank the organisers and the fans for recognisng his efforts for the nation.

 

 

“Its a great privileged to win Nigeria’s best footballer of the year. I couldn’t have done this by myself, I want to thank my teammates both in the National team and at Leicester City.

 

Thank you to the organisers of The Ballers Awards and all the fans. Thank you 🙏🏾” he said in a tweet.

 

Ndidi is currently out action with an ankle with an ankle injury and he is expected be be back before the end of the month after a successful surgery last Friday.
