Wilfred Ndidi says, he’s forever grateful to Claudio Ranieri for the role he played in his career.
Ranieri signed Ndidi for Leicester City from Genk in 2016, but the Italian was sacked a few months later, following a run of poor results.
However, the Italian is back in the Premier League with Watford and he will lead out the Hornets against his former side.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Ndidi says he remain grateful to the former Foxes manager for signing him for Leicester City.
“I’m very grateful to him because he gave me the opportunity to come to Leicester and play in the Premier League for the first time,” Ndidi explained.
“That was a really important move in my career, so I’ll always remember it. Joining Leicester City has been fantastic for me. It’s a great club.”
Ndidi scored his first goal in 10 months for the Foxes against Legia Warsaw last Thursday, he is expected to keep his place in the starting 11 against Watford.
