Ndidi, Iheanacho Settle for a Point against Ipswich Town

Super Eagles’ duo, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho were involved as Leicester City battled Ipswich Town to a 1-1 draw in a Championship clash on Tuesday.

While Iheanacho was named among the substitutes, Ndidi kept his place in the starting 11 for the Foxes.

 

 

It was the midfielder’s 20th appearance of the season for the Championship leaders.

He was booked by the referee for a foul, and subsequently substituted in the 56th minute.

Iheanacho, was introduced as a substitute for Patson Daka in the 63rd minute, for his 19th appearance but he could not add to his five goal of the ongoing season.

The Foxes initially took the lead with a Stephy Mavididi masterpiece, but in the latter stages Sam Morsy salvaged a point for Ipswich Town.

Leicester City still hold a six-point lead over Ipswich, while third-placed Southampton narrowed the gap to second by five points following their commanding 5-0 victory over Swansea.
