Leicester City Boss, Brendan Rodgers has hailed Wilfred Ndidi as one of the best defensive midfielders and most versatile players in the Premier League.

Rogers started the Nigerian international in back four in their 2020-2021 premier league opener away to West Bromwich Albion last week.

Ndidi adapted to the new role and helped the Foxes to keep the Baggies at bay for the entire duration of the match at the Harthrown.

Speaking ahead of their next premier league game Burnley, Rogers singled out the 24-year-old for praises.

The former Celtic manager said he has faith in the player because he can play in several positions.

“Wilf is a player I have real confidence in. He can play in a number of positions but he has the attributes to play there [center-back]. He’s one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League but he did very well next to Çağ (Soyuncu).” he said.
