Leicester City’s coach, Enzo Maresca values Wilfred Ndidi’s versatility and wants to keep him at the Club.
Maresca maintained Ndidi remains an integral part of his squad despite the competition from Cesare Casadei.
Ndidi has featured in Leicester’s three games this season, starting two of them and scoring one goal.
The Nigerian’s role within the team is revolving as he’s been deployed to attacking midfield position.
Maresca however seems to appreciate Ndidi’s efforts in adapting to a more offensive role and views him as an important player.
“Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is one of the most important players, for sure. But for me, Wilfred is very important,” Maresca told Leicester City Mercury.
“He’s trying to do something that he never has before, to arrive in the box and to try to be an offensive midfielder. He’s doing very well at that.”
Ndidi’s future at the club remains uncertain as he has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce.
He has less than twelve months on his contract and Leicester City have been coy on extension.
