Ndidi delivers Again, Iheanacho Benched in Leicester’s Win
77
Wilfred Ndidi was immense for English Championship leaders, Leicester City as they secured a convincing 3-0 win against Rotherham at King Power Stadium, on Saturday.
Ndidi, playing a pivotal role in his new attacking midfield position, formed a dynamic trio with Harry Winks and Kieran Dewsbury-Hall.
Despite a commendable performance in his 70 minutes on the pitch, Ndidi was unfortunate not to increase his goal tally for the season, attempting three shots, one of which forced a notable save from the opposing goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho observed the match from the bench, Manager Enzo Maresca’s decision to start Partson Daka for the fourth consecutive league game proved strategic, as the Zambian justified the choice with two well-taken goals.
This marked Daka’s longest run as a striker in Maresca’s league 11 this season, strengthening Leicester City’s position at the top of the Championship table with a six-point lead.
