Ndidi Anchors Leicester City Back Top Of Championship With A Win Over Birmingham

Wilfred Ndidi continues his incredible run of games for Leicester City in the English Championship this season.

Nigerian international midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was on parade for Leicester City against Birmingham City at St Andrew stadium on Monday.

Ndidi stars as Enzo Maresca’s side defeated their 2-3 to return to the summit of Championship, stretching their lead to three points over second-placed Ipswich Town.

Former Genk of Belgium star, Ndidi featured from the start and lasted for 89 minutes on the pitch, before being replaced.

Playing in the attacking midfield position, Ndidi linked up well with the front four of Stephy Mavididi, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Abdul Fatawu and Patson Daka.

Ndidi has impressive five assists and two goals in 18 games for the Foxes this season.

Stephy Mavididi fired Leicester ahead at one end, just 13 seconds, then Jordan James quickly levelled for Blues, but Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall finished off another fine counter-attack move to quickly restore the Foxes’ lead.

Mavididi added the third for Leicester, five minutes after the restart, but they were pegged back again by James second goal of the night for the Blues with fifteen minutes left to play.

The Foxes never allowed the hosts never allow back in again as they held on for a win.
