NBBF will forever be indebted to Alex Nwora – Musa Kida

The Nigeria Basketball Federation President Ahmadu Musa Kida says the Federation will forever remain indebted to Coach Alex Nwora for his contribution to the growth of National Team.

Nwora resigned from his position as the Associate Coach for the Nigeria’s male Basketball National Team, D’Tigers after four years.

Nwora reportedly tender in his resignation letter on August 6, 2021, but reasons for the for his decision to quit the role was not stated.

Reacting to the exit of the former Cape Verde National Team handler, Engineer Musa Kida said the coach had contributed immensely to the current status of the men’s national team.

“The Nigeria Basketball Federation respects the decision of Coach Nwora and understands that his primary job as Head Coach of Erie Community College in Buffalo, New York deserves his attention too.”

“He built an impressive programme for the national team and we are deeply indebted to him. We wish him the best of luck and hope that when he is settled, he would still give his services to Nigeria.” he said.

Nwora led the D’tigers to a second place finish at the 2017 FIBA Afrobasket. He also led the team to the 2019 FIBA World Cup, where he picked ticket to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
