Nasarawa United’s assistant gaffer Coach Abubakar Arikya said they aren’t afraid of Rivers United and believes they can leave Port Harcourt with a good result.
The Solid Miners will face the high-flying Pride of Rivers in their next Nigeria Professional Football League game on Sunday.
The 2020-2021 Aiteo finalists are yet to win a game on the road this season, and Arikya believes, that will come to an end when they visit Port Harcourt.
“We are grateful to God for the victory against Niger Tornadoes.
“We had a great game against a strong opposition like Niger Tornadoes and we hope to keep winning.
“We are aiming for our first away win when we play against Rivers United in our next game.” He said.
Nasarawa defeated Niger Tornadoes 1-0 in their previous outing. They occupy 8th position on the table with 20 points from 14 matches.
