According to Sky Sports Italia Victor Osimhen’s recovery is going according to plans and could be back in the starting eleven against Cremonese.
It was widely reported that the Nigerian international could be available for the UEFA Champions League clash against Ajax, but Sky Italia report that Napoli doesn’t want to rush his return as the team is currently doing well.
The Partenopei instead chose a more safer option, and Osimhen’s return will be on 9 October in an away match against Cremonese.
Osimhen, 23, injured his hamstring during Napoli’s Champions League clash with Liverpool at the Maradona earlier this month.
He was substituted four minutes before the half time break, but Napoli overcame the setback and went on to win 4-1.
