Italian Serie A side Napoli could be without Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen when they kick off their Champions League campaign on Wednesday.

It was revealed that Osimhen picked a minor knock against Lazio and wasn’t involved in training with the rest of the squad.

The 23-year-old was checked by the medics after the game against Lazio over the weekend and was excused from training on Monday, according to Get Italian daily news.

Osimhen was impressive for the Partenopei in their 2-1 success at the Stadio Olimpico, but wasn’t among the goal scorers.

He has now failed to score in his last three games, for first time since he returned from facial injury back in February.

Like Osimhen, Hirving Lozano, who was stretchered off due to a facial injury against Lazio, is also a major doubt for the game.

Napoli will host Liverpool at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Wednesday.
