Napoli have rejected a €65 million bid from Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen, with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis insisting the striker will only be sold for his full €75 million release clause.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, the Turkish champions made their first official bid in an attempt to secure Osimhen’s permanent transfer before the January window closes. However, Napoli swiftly turned down the offer, standing firm on their valuation of the Nigerian forward.
Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray until the end of the season, has been in outstanding form, averaging nearly a goal per game in the Turkish Süper Lig.
His performances have convinced the club to push for a permanent move, but their opening offer fell €10 million short of Napoli’s asking price.
Osimhen’s Future Remains Uncertain
The 26-year-old joined Galatasaray on loan after failing to secure a permanent transfer from Napoli on deadline day.
His loan deal includes a break clause that allows him to leave in January if a European club meets his €75 million (£63.2 million) buyout clause.
Despite Galatasaray’s efforts, Napoli remain firm on their stance. De Laurentiis rejected the bid, preferring to wait until the summer when the full release clause applies to all potential buyers.
With several European clubs reportedly monitoring Osimhen, Napoli are prepared to hold out for a higher offer in the next transfer window.
