Napoli’s head coach, Rudi Garcia, is happy to keep Victor Osimhen at the Italian club, amidst several transfer rumors and interests from European top clubs.

Osimhen has two years left on his current deal with the reigning Italian Serie A Champions, a few top clubs are monitoring his situation.

 

 

Despite the ongoing negotiations for a new contract, Garcia remains optimistic about the Nigerian striker’s future at the Stadio Diego Maradona.

In a recent interview with Il Corriere dello Sport, Garcia provide the update on the player’s situation.

“I’ve had positive feelings. The first target is to keep all our players. Osimhen has a contract, and he’s calm,” Garcia stated.

“He is one of the best strikers out there, and we are happy he’s playing with us. I’ve spoken to all players, including Victor. They are all working hard and focusing on training before the start of the season, which is close,” Garcia added.

Osimhen scored 26 goals as the Partenopei ended long wait without league title last season – he netted 31 times in 37 matches across all competitions.
