FC Nantes manager Christian Gourcuff says he’s counting on Super Eagles winger Moses Simon to help his side get a positive result in tonight’s French Ligue 1 encounter against Paris Saint-Germain.
Simon and his teammates will be looking to build on the momentum of last weekend’s impressive 2-1 victory against Toulouse as they face a tricky test against reigning Ligue 1 champions, PSG at the Parc des Princes.
The Parisian are ahead and shoulder above everybody in the league but Gourcuff believes Simon can do a great job alongside Kader Bambain helping his side find a nice balance in order to make life difficult for the hosts.
“In terms of organization, there is always a balance to be found. The ambition is that Moses Simon and Kader Bamba find their positions.”
“The victory against Toulouse (on Sunday) makes it easier to tackle the match. Now, i am expecting a different match against PSG. Possession is expected to be the Parisian. It will also perform well when holding the ball,”
“A point on the state of the forces? That will be good for us. We know that the balance of power is unbalanced. It will be necessary to be collectively better than them. It is an interesting challenge.”
Simon has scored two goals and provided the same number of assists in 13 Ligue1 appearances this term.
