Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare has praised teammate Bonsu Baah following their successful partnership in a 2-0 win over Gent on Sunday.
Arokodare, who scored one of the goals and helped force a penalty leading to the other, credited Baah’s assist in setting up his opening goal.
Arokodare, 23, opened the scoring with a well-placed shot after receiving a precise pass from Baah.
Reflecting on the teamwork, he commended Baah’s potential, saying, “What a talent. He’s going to explode because he’s that good.”
The Arokodare-Baah duo continues to prove a potent force on the field, with their synergy causing significant challenges for opposing teams, as evidenced by their latest performance against Gent.
After the match, Arokodare, also received high praise from former Belgian international Wesley Sonck, who was providing commentary on the game.
Sonck, previously critical of Arokodare’s early-season performances, recognized his growth, calling him a much-improved striker.
“The fact that a club legend says something like that gives me a boost,” Arokodare shared. “Next week, I want to do even better.” Arokodare said.
With this latest goal, Arokodare maintains his position as the leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler League.
