Newly invited Nigeria midfielder Yusuf Alhassan is excited to be included in the Super Eagles squad for the first time in his career.

He has been in fine form for Royal Antwerp this season and his form midfield earned him a place in the Salisu Yusuf’s squad for the clash against Mexico and Ecuador.

Alhassan who has made 29 appearances for Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Jupiler league this season told his club what the invitation mean to him.

“I’m very happy and excited. It’s a dream come true for me to represent Nigeria.”

“I will try to settle in and give my best to make the team”.

The friendlies will hold later this month in the United States of America before they begin their qualifying campaign for the 2023 AFCON in June.
