Musa Gets Fresh ‘Escape’ Offer From Galatasaray

Leicester City attacker, Ahmed Musa has found another olive branch flying in his direction, with Galatasaray of Turkey now eager to sign him in a deal that would take him away from his ongoing nightmares at King Power Stadium.

Musa has been reluctant to take up offers outside England, while also holding out for a deal that would be at par with his current earnings at Leicester, but the fleet-footed former CSKA Moscow of Russia star knows that time is no longer on his side.

With the January transfer window set to hit a climax next week, Musa is in a race against time to seal a deal elsewhere, in order for him to find regular playing time that could keep him in contention for a shirt with the Super Eagles to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Since arriving from CSKA, Musa has struggled to break into Leicester’s team, starting a mere seven times in the Premier League last season.

This campaign has proven to be worse, as the once fiery forward has been confined to The Foxes’ under-23 squad, and has only made one appearance for the first-team.

Consequently, Galatasaray’s new club resident, Mustafa Cengiz is keen on taking the 25-year-old star aboard on loan.

This comes after the Istanbul-based club’s manager, Fatih Terim informed the hierarchy he is hoping to sign a striker and a left-back.

With Cengiz overseeing transfer plans at Galatasaray, it is hoped that Musa would boost the team, who currently sit second in the Turkish Super Lig.

Incidentally, fellow Turkish side, Bursaspor have also been linked with Musa, though rumours about an impending deal seem to have quelled of late.

The Lions will face competition, however, from the Moscow duo of Lokomotiv and CSKA, as Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr said last week that Musa will be returning to Russia.
