Nigeria national football team vice captain Ahmed Musa has called for more and continuous support from Nigerians after the Super Eagles defeated South Africa’s Bafana Bafana 2-1 Wednesday night to advance to the semi final of the ongoing Africa cup of nations in Egypt.
Musa speaking aftermath of the Super Eagles win said in a chat gathered by www.brila.net that the team is happy for the support of Nigerians so far and asked even for more as the going get tougher.
Musa also acknowledged that the game against South Africa was a difficult one which took a lot of effort to achieve.
“We are happy at the end of the game we had a win, so that was the most important thing. The game was a difficult one but we know that it wasn’t going to be easy.
We expected the win but we had to keep our head down to achieve this. We had the first goal but they equalize, we knew the goal was going to come but we had to be patients and finally we had a goal.
What I want to say is they should keep on supporting us and I want to say thank you to the Nigerian fans.”
