Super Eagles winger, Simon Moses has admitted that the Gernot Rohr-led side is far away from the fans’ expectations and promised the team will continue to improve.
The Super Eagles have been far from their best lately and managed to squeeze into the last phase of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
They drew a 1-1 draw against Cape Verde in their last Group game on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
In a chat with BBC Sport Africa, the Nantes winger admits that they have been far from their best, but remain positive that the team will bounce back repay the faith of the fans.
“We know our fans expect more from the team, and we believe we can do more,” Simon said.
“The players have a role to play, and hopefully, we can continue to improve and make our fans happy.” He said.
Simon featured in all Super Eagles FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the Group phase.
