Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo has disclosed his hope of returning to Chelsea someday with compatriot Victor Moses his biggest motivation.
Kenneth Omeruo made this known in an exclusive chat with brila.net’s Anthony Bekederemo, the tall defender opened up on his frustration at being sent out on Loan for the third consecutive time by his parent Club, Chelsea.
However, the former Standard Liege of Belgium central defender told brila.net that he is taking the positives out of the situation.
“Coming here is not that bad, I ensure I do my job well and I’m getting the respect I deserve being a Chelsea player,” Omeruo told brila.
Omeruo also mentioned fellow countryman, Victor Moses, who also went out thrice on loan to different premier league clubs before securing his place under Antonio Conte last season in a relatively new position.
“Yes, Victor Moses has been in this situation, so I see him as a big motivation”, I also believe that someday soon, the opportunity to represent Chelsea will come”
Omeruo at the age of 19 he played for the Super Eagles for the first time in a goalless draw against Cape Verde. He then went on to play in all of Nigeria’s matches at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations as Nigeria went on to win the competition for the third time.
The defender joined Chelsea in 2012 from Standard Liege and has since gone out on loan for five occasions, Having loan spells with ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough, Kasimpasa, Alanyaspor and back to Kasimpasa.
