Jose Peseiro has given an update on the situations of Terem Moffi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Twenty-three Players arrived in Abidjan from Lagos, on Wednesday, and had their first training session later that evening.
After the session; which lasted about an hour, Peseiro briefed reporters on the arrivals of Terem Moffi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
“They will join us on the 13th and 14th most likely,” Peseiro stated. “Moffi was already in the Club’s plan for a game before his call up, so after the game.”
OGC Nice travel to the Roazhon Park for a Ligue 1 fixture against Rennes, on the 13th, and Moffi is expected to feature. He could then take a flight after the match en route to Abidjan.
“Kelechi will come 13th. He has been given a hundred percent recovery by Leicester, and I trust them.”
On the nature of the Leicester Forward’s injury, the Super Eagles coach said he was unsure.
“We don’t know the exact nature of the injury, but they (Leicester) have a very good facility and so I’m sure they know he is ready if they say so.”
Nigerian’s first game in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations comes up on January 14, at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium.
