Moffi advised me to join Kortrijk — Afolabi

Jonathan Afolabi has revealed Terem Moffi advised him to sign for Belgian Jupiler league KV Kortrijk.

Afolabi, who is a Nigerian born Irish forward signed for Kortrijk from the Irish Bohemians on Thursday.

 

The Southampton academy graduate signed for the Belgian side until June 2026, according to a statement on KV
Kortrijk’s website.

Speaking on his decision to join, Afolabi said former Kortrijk striker, Terem Moffi advised him to sign for the club.

“I also spoke to Terem Moffi. He was positive about what it feels like to be here. He said nice things about the club and thought it was a nice step forward for me.”

Afolabi is this season’s top scorer in the Ireland Premier Division, with 15 goals in 34 games this season, and he also had 5 goals and 7 assists in the Irish Cup.
