A return has been set for Nigerian Midfielder, Mikel Obi after a successful surgery and recuperation.
The 30-year-old is expected to return to action in two weeks’ according to his Chinese Super League side Tianjin Teda FC per Sammy Wejinya [SuperSport].
Mikel, who joined CSL from Chelsea in January, has been sidelined with an abdominal strain which has kept him out of active competition for over two months.
The Nigerian international’s last appearance for the club was on April 2, when he helped the club win 2-0 against Chongqing Lifan at Tianjin Tuanbo soccer Stadium.
Mikel also missed Nigeria’s 2019 Afcon qualifier against South Africa, but could now be in the fray to return in August when the Super Eagles host Cameroon in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
