MFM FC Coach Gabriel lauds players after victory vs Plateau United

MFM FC gaffer, Olamilekan Gabriel has showered encomiums on his players following their impressive performance against Plateau United.

 

MFM FC recorded an impressive 3-1 success over their visitors at the Soccer Temple in Agege in one of matchday 34 of the 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football league season.

 

Akanni Elijah scored twice on the 44th and 65th minute to put the Olukoya Boys in perfect control before Buhari Ibrahim made it 2-1 for the visitors in the 71st minute.

 

Tunde Azeez however killed any hope of coming back for the visitors when he grabbed MFM’s third goal of the match with fourteen minutes left on the clock.

 

Reacting to the result, An excited Olamilekan Gabriel gave his boys kudos for playing a perfect game against a very good opponent.

 

“I’m so excited with the victory because we have been working on it, especially to get a huge margin of goals. We just don’t want three points, we want to win with plenty of goals as well, which the boys delivered today. They played to instructions and I’m happy for the boys.

 

“We made some mistakes which can happen in the game of football, but they reacted well and did what they had to do to get the victory. So it was a complete performance,” he told the press.

 

The result moved MFM to the top half of the table (10th) with 47 points from 34 games.
