MFM FC of Lagos recorded a laudable win over Nigeria professional football league giants Kano Pillars at the Agege township stadium on Sunday.
The Olukoya boys are currently going through their worse period since joining the elite divisions had to deep to snatch the three points from the nose of Pillars.
Pillars got in front in Agege in fortuitous fashion. Midfielder Auwalu Ali Malam saw his 34th minute corner kick bizarrely dropped into his own net by goalkeeper Folarin Abayomi.
However striker Kabiru Adewole Adeniji equalised for MFM in the 52nd minute after good work by Ikechukwu Chimezie.
The equaliser brought huge believe into MFM and they continued to dominate the game from that moment.
Substitute Clement Ogwu later completed the turn around for MFM as he netted an exceptional brace to to give his side 3-1 win.
The defeat brought an end to Sai Masu Gida’s 13-game unbeaten run and ended MFM own five games winless run as well.
