MFM FC Head Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu believes his side still has alot to do if they want to be considered as one of the 2019 Nigeria Professional Football League title favorites.
The Olukoya Boys are set to take on Abdullahi Biffo’s Katsina United in a rescheduled NPFL game at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina on Wednesday.
Despite leading Group A log, MFM FC has only won a game away from home this season (1-0 win over Remo Stars in Osogbo) and the game against with Katsina United is another opportunity to try their luck once more.
Speaking ahead of the game in Katsina, Fidelis Ilechukwu played down the pressure of avoiding another away defeat which many believed can cause damage to their play-off aspirations and stressed there was no target set for the team this season.
“With this team, there is no target for now and we hope to improve in this performances, so if we get to maintain it till week 18, then we can start thinking about making the playoffs and winning the title”.
MFM FC are sitting on top of Group A standing with 21 points from 10 games.
