Nigerian youngster Adetayo Aduramigba Iretioluwa Edun made the headline across Europe when he scored against Liverpool in a league cup game played on Thursday.
The pacy winger scored one of the two goals for Lincoln City in their 7 – 2 loss to English Champions Liverpool at the Sincil Bank stadium.
Edun caused Liverpool all sorts of problems throughout the game and was Lincoln City’s best player on the pitch.
After the game, he got a rating of 7 out 10, which is the best for any players paraded by the League two club on the night.
Edun was born in London to Nigerian parents, he normally plays as a left-back or midfielder for Lincoln City.
He is 22 years of age and has played for England at the U17, U18, U19, and U20 sides, which means he’s still eligible to play for Nigeria at the senior level.
Edun made his professional debut in a League Cup match for Fulham against Leyton Orient in 2016.
After leaving Fulham, Edun signed a 2 1⁄2-year contract with League One club Lincoln City on 10 January 2020.
