Enyimba international football club of Aba forward Victor Mbaoma has dismissed suggestions that the Champions are currently in crisis following their bad league form.
Enyimba has endured torrid time and failed to hit top form and are now facing tough task to defend the title they won last season.
A deep in form led to the sacking of coach Usman Abdallah and after just a win under interim boss Fatai Osho, the team has suffered back to back losses in the league against Heartland and FC Ifeayin Ubah.
The 8th time Nigerian Champions are currently in relegation zone , although with four game in hand, and Mbaoma insists they will fight to turn things around quickly.
“There is absolutely no problem with the team. This is football we all know there are times like this in the game, Â luckily for us we are experiencing it at this time not late in the league so definitely we will bounce back” He told brila.net.
The former Akwa United forward added that inspite of the current situation, the two time CAF Champions league winners will fight to retain their domestic crown this season.
“We have 4 outstanding games so we’re we are currently is not we’re we belong. Despite the situation now we are not giving up our dreams of retaining the title”.
“We still have a long way to go this and little distraction can’t stop us because we definitely will have a better ending by God’s grace” He concluded.
