Mba urge Eagles to be VAR conscious from quarter finals onward

FIFA referees advisor and consultant to the NFF on refereeing matter Linus Mba has urged players of the Super Eagles to be VAR conscious as the Video Assistant Referees makes it debut at the Africa cup of nations from the quarterfinals of the AFCON in Egypt.

Mba speaking in a chat with www.brila.net advised the Nigerian players to learn from the past, be careful in their play and to learn how to keep their conduct in situations where the VAR may be called to use.
He advised that the players and technical crew get themselves acquainted once again on the laws of the game so as not to run foul of any law.
“Technically I think the Super Eagles and the handlers should learn from the past. The experience in the use of the VAR during the FIFA U20 world cup as well as the women’s world cup should come in handy here to guide our players against running into mistakes that may require the use of the VAR.
And if there is an error that eventually calls for the use of the VAR we should learn to be calm and guide against such errors for coming up again.”
