2013 Africa cup of nations hero Sunday Mba has expressed empathy with the current set of home-based players under Super Eagles handler Gernot Rohr citing that the victorious Eagles team that won the 2013 AFCON had players in the domestic league who enjoyed the trust and support of the then national team handler Late Steven Keshi.
Mba speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that home-based players don’t look to be reckoned with in the scheme of things and can be very tough when players in the domestic league get such treatment of just merely been called up to make up the number without been made to believe that they have a real stake in the team which was what he and others enjoyed under late Steven Keshi.
