Nantes head coach Antoine Kombouaré is demanding more from leaders in the team following Sunday’s 2-1 Ligue Un defeat at home against Olympique Marseille.

Nantes chased the game after the visitors grabbed the lead inside 24 minutes through Neal Maupay.

Tino Kadeware (34′) leveled for the Canaries, but in the second half, former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood (61′) rifled a shot home from the edge of the box.

Greenwood secured the three points for Roberto De Zerbi’s men in a game Kombouaré insists they have no business losing.

“It’s disappointing. We could have drawn. We had the chances to come back into the game, we had the chance to take the lead in the second half. It’s the second half of regrets,” the coach said in his post-match presser.

“I spoke with some of the boys, they’re disappointed with the result. We have boys with experience and we know that we’re able to re-trigger a victory, from Lens.”

Moses Simon Returns

The 29 year-old returned to action after missing the Strasbourg game, and was thrown straight into action.

Simon played the entire game but could not influence a positive result for his team.

So far this season, the Nigerian winger has made 9 league appearances and scored 2 goals.

Nantes are now in the bottom half of the table with 10 points from 10 games, and are winless in their last five outings.
