Seven ( not Thirty ) fans died last week at a public viewing center in Calabar on the same night Manchester United booked their place in the semi final of this season’s Europa League and the EPL side have announced that they’ll honor the victims this weekend during their league match at home Swansea.
The football world was greeted last Friday by the sad news of fans who were electrocuted after a lose Power cable crashed down on the structure where they were watching the Europa League match between Manchester United and Anderlecht.
Manchester United as well as the British Consulate in Nigeria tweeted, expressing their condolences.
The club have now decided to take it even further by honoring the memories of the fans.
On its official twitter handle, the club announced that its Players will wear black armbands in a show of solidarity.
