Manchester United are plotting a swoop to sign Lyon striker Moussa Dembele if Romelu Lukaku leaves Old Trafford this summer, according to a report in England.

The same article states that Manchester United’s talks with Inter Milan over Lukaku’s proposed sale have reached a stalemate and the San Siro giants need to raise funds to complete a deal.
According to the same story, the Red Devils want to finalise Lukaku’s departure as soon as possible to give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer time to sign a replacement.
Sky Sports go on to claim that Manchester United are interested in former Celtic and Fulham striker Dembele, 23, while Lille forward Nicolas Pepe remains a target.
Manchester United signed Lukaku in a £75m deal from Everton in the 2017 summer transfer window after the Belgian forward opted to move to Old Trafford ahead of a return to Stamford Bridge.
But the Red Devils haven’t seen the best of Lukaku given his inconsistent performances up front for the 20-time English champions over the past couple of seasons.
