Chelsea travel to the Etihad to face Champions elect, Manchester City, in a defining moment for both sides in the league this season, and though the bookies may have the home team as favorite, wing-back Victor Moses says they want to “go out and prove people wrong.”
Man City have the best home form in the premier league this season – 13 wins and 1 draw in all 14 games – and Moses himself admits the Cityzens are “Flying at the Moment”.
The 2016/17 champions, Chelsea, have been inconsistent and their form against the top 6 teams leaves very little to admire.
Last weekend against Man United, Antonio Conte’s men let a 1-0 lead slip and were punished by the Red Devils who snatched a vital 3 points in the 2-1 win and condemned Chelsea to chasing a top four spot.
Speaking to the club’s website ahead of Sunday’s clash against the current leaders, the 27-year-old lamented their profligacy despite the quality in the team.
‘It’s going to be an interesting game,’ Moses said. ‘I’m expecting it to be tight.
‘City are flying at the moment, but we have players who can win us games too. You never know what is going to happen. We need to stay hungry. We get a lot of chances in games so we have got to try and convert them.
‘At the moment we are just concentrating on ourselves. We have worked hard in training and we want to do the best we can and go out there and prove people wrong.’
