Coach of NPFL side Katsina united Henry Makinwa has thumbed up officiating of matches in the new league season and has described the level of officiating and outcome of league matches so far as an improvement which must be commended.
Makinwa speaking in a chat with brila.net said the result posted by teams in the NPFL has shown that teams can now be confident of playing and winning anywhere knowing that officiating will be fair irrespective of venue.
He added that the outcomes of games so far and fairness exhibited by the referees will help produce a genuine league winner.
“We’ve witnessed a lot of changes in the NPFL. Now it’s easier for a tiny budget club to win away, this is absolutely improvement in our league.
“We hope this continue to the last day of the league so that we can produce the real champion. It’s been exciting and I think everybody is happy about that.”
