Maja confident of Fulham’s premier league safety

Fulham forward Josh Maja is confident that the club will stay up in the premier league following their impressive away win against Everton.

Maja made his first start for the Cottagers with well taken brace against Everton 2-0 at the Goodison Park on Sunday.

Despite the win, Scott Parker’s side remain seven points from safety, but Maja who joined the club on loan from Girondins Bordeaux is confident they can pick up good points in coming weeks.

Fulham are scheduled to face Newcastle, Burnley and Brighton, who themselves are involved in the battle to beat the drop.

“Yeah definitely [it gives us hope],” Maja told BT Sport. “Of course wins give the fans and players confidence and we want to take that into the next games and keep picking up more points.

“It is a big one, we came into the game wanting to win it. We have had the results we wanted in recent games and our performances didn’t deserve that.

“We took the chance when they came, we are happy and want to continue like this,” He concluded.
