Plateau United gaffer Abdul Maikaba lauds his players following their impressive draw against Heartland FC in one of week 23 of 2020-2021 NPFL encounters.
Plateau United held the Naze Millionaires to a goalless draw at Dan Ayiam Stadium on Wednesday to move into the top half of the table, with just a point above Lobi Stars.
Maikaba hinted that he is satisfied with the effort of the players to grind out a point on the difficult ground and also praised them for playing to instructions.
“We know surely it will be a tough game against Heartland FC, The Situation before the game is not helpful but the most important thing is, all the players on the field played to instructions, the home team played so well going forward and we are able to defend well ”
The former Akwa United man has now called on his players not to rest on their oars and focus on the next match on Sunday.
“Going back home with a point is a delight to us and we hope to continue the great work this weekend when we host our next opponent at home, we shift focus to the next game. ” He said.
