General secretary of the Handball Federation of Nigeria and leader of Nigeria’s delegation to the International handball Federation U20 world cup in Spain Haruna Maigidansanma has hailed the Nigeria U20 team for putting in a spirited effort despite the team’s inability to make it out of the group stage at the tournament.
Maigidansanma speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the players have given a good fight but unfortunately their efforts wasn’t good enough while stating that the Federation will continue to work well with more youth players and hopefully get a better and stronger U20 team in the nearest future.
” We want to give thanks to almighty God for giving the team a victory but unfortunately the team couldn’t sustain the tempo. We will keep working with our youth players a d hopefully come back better and stronger next time.”
Nigeria recorded a victory  in five matches at the tournament incidentally the win was Nigeria’s first at the U20 world cup.
