Super Eagles and Udinese goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye is among the top performers in Serie A this season.
According to statistics, the Nigerian currently leads the league in saves, with a total of 25 for Udinese, including 16 from inside the penalty area—the highest in Serie A.
Okoye made three crucial saves as Udinese defeated Lecce 1-0 in a Serie A match on Saturday.
The former Sparta Rotterdam star has featured in seven league games for Udinese this season, keeping two clean sheets.
He has also been called up by Nigeria’s head coach, Austin Eguavoen, for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
