Okoye was a formidable presence in goal, making two crucial saves to keep Avellino at bay, as Udinese advanced to the round of 16.

The match saw Udinese take the lead just before halftime, with Brenner finding the net in the 41st minute.

Udinese doubled their advantage early in the second half when Florian Thauvin converted a penalty in the 50th minute.

Okoye, who cemented his place as Udinese’s first-choice goalkeeper last season, expressed satisfaction with both his performance and the team’s result.
